The fortune 500 company’s presence is most felt according to me through its metal manufacturing business globally through its subsidiary Hindalco and in India by the means of its multi-product business through its subsidiary Grasim Industries whose major area of focus lies in its cement business.
Hindalco is one of the world's largest aluminum rolling companies and one of the biggest producers of primary aluminum in Asia, while Ultratech, a subsidiary of Grasim Industries and the largest cement manufacturer in India, has touched each Indian’s life by its offerings of premium quality cement at an affordable price. It is not only a leading cement producer in India but is renowned globally for the same. With the company providing all-round building solutions, UltraTech provides one-stop solutions for every primary construction need that an entity ranging from an individual to a large organization could ask for.
I can deem Aditya Birla Group’s contribution to the society truly all-round as be it their CSR activities or their business ranging from Metals to Cement, the company upholds the notion of holistic business functioning as it operates while keeping all stakeholders happy including shareholders, customers, employees, partners, and many other such entities. From my experience till date, I can agree to the fact that be it the humble abode of an average Indian to the ultra-rich's mansion, a consideration is always given to Ultra Tech Cement before construction of such building is begun which in itself is a virtue that commands respect owing to the level of rapport the company has built with its Indian customer base and hence speaks volumes about its success. The same is true for this company on a global scale in many countries. For me, this is the definition of making the world feel your presence.
I am an avid follower of astronomy for a simple reason – since when we gaze out in the lush dark sky, I see the universe as the place where Unbounded Reality and Imagination meet. The reality being the infinite nature of the unknown majestic universe and imagination being the infinite capacity of intelligent life to think of ways to fantasize their reality. When these two meets, in my view it literally resonates the aura of a mind that thinks and acts like a god. Therefore, to me, the sense of universality in the eternal calling of the universe to humans to reach their maximum potential is ever-present as any resistance to this is equivalent to the notion of us deceiving ourselves in the grand scale of things. This notion of grandeur in life has always helped me overcome the different challenges I faced in life. I was involved in a horrible road accident when I was in Class 11th. Both of my forearm bones Radius and Ulna were broken. I had to do go undergo major surgery and get plates installed. Post-surgery, life posed both significant mental and physical challenges. Despite this, I didn’t let this incident affect my studies or my personal life. I went on to score 95 in Mathematics in Class 11th, the highest in my class. I also continued to pursue my JEE and AIEEE preparation at that time with full fervour and achieved decent results. To this day my demeanour remains unchanged after that incident as it is directly attributable to my attitude towards life as I started appreciating this gift of life tremendously more owing to the fact that I am here to tell my story in a fully functional state of body and mind which could have been far worse off in that accident.
