The conglomerate, Aditya Birla Group touches lives of millions of individuals in India and around the world. So, has it mine. It has a range of products spread across diverse sectors, ranging from textiles to telecom, cement to finance.

During my childhood Pantaloons played a big part in my life. We would get affordable, high-quality clothes for the whole family in one place. I remember it would start with planning to get only for my mother, then she would realise that my brother also needed something and then during that time my father would like something, and hence, we would all end up buying something or the other. So, Pantaloons was the shopping destination for the family.

As and when I have grown up, I think so has Aditya Birla. Now brands like Van Heusen and Louis Philippe, which are some of the largest apparel brands in India that offer premium clothing are the brands I go to. The clothing of these brands makes me look more confident.

Furthermore, a separate store for women casual and office wear is also, something I really love about Van Heusen. It was earlier very hard to find shirts, trousers and blazers that were especially designed for women. Also, the smart casuals , with their colourful designs that they have come up with resonate with me at a personal level.

I have also encountered some other services of Aditya Birla Group like Vodafone and UltraTech cement. But, clothes is something I love and hence, it has had the biggest impact in my life.

During the last year of my college, I got addicted to an online multiplayer video game, whose name I believe everybody knows, PubG. I used to play the game continuously, often not sleeping at night and also, sometimes not being able to fulfil my academic obligations because of the same. Slowly, but surely, my grades started falling. I even started ignoring my friends and then one day one of my friends came up to me and made me realise that I was addicted to this game during my second year. It took me more than two months to control myself from not playing PubG, which I believe is a very big achievement of mine. I started by trying to limit the number of hours I used to spend playing that game. I started playing 3 games, even though I wanted to play it continuously and side by side I started to concentrate on my studies again. Then I started to play PubG as a reward for finishing certain part of my syllabus. Eventually over a period of 2 months, I came down to playing only a single game and that too when I actually had the time and not because I wanted to. Now, its been nearly a month into joining an MBA college and because of my hectic schedule I don’t get any time to play the game and I am proud that I don’t even regret playing it and I am back on top of my game, in terms of studies.
