This is my little story. This story is about nothing and yet everything. To be subtle, I have not yet achieved my goal, but this little tale will tell you my journey, about who I am and how my journey to be a successful manager has shaped so far.
During my school time, I usually topped every class till 10th, and it was sort of a habit. I was so good in basic mathematics that I used to teach all my friends after school. They called me the maths guru. It was going so well, I wanted that life to never end, but suddenly I passed 10th, and just as I thought about taking medical( well I know I said mathematics, but I loved biology too), my parents objected and they got me admitted to coaching institute in Chandigarh for engineering. Well, apart from being good in mathematics, I was an average student. I never studied physics,chemistry carefully and with heart, I gradually got more and more demotivated because of my lack lustre performance in mocks. Consequently, I got just passing marks in aieee and well flopped in jee advance.
After facing the wrath of my parents, I decided to give it another try and flopped again, but that extra year was a reckoning for me for I realised how much my parents have actually sacrificed for me to get me this kind of opportunity. Fortunately that year, i got improved score in aieee and got admitted into Panjab University.
Well I decided to churn the opportunity in my graduation and started working meticulously and got very good results like I got promoted as Branch coordinator of my college, got into honors group, topped my class and became member of training and placement cell of my college.
All these activities shaped my Outlook towards how I perceive and interact with others. I got a 360° change in my personality and passed my graduation with 80percentile marks.
But still I was not convinced with going towards core engineering jobs as my interest lies towards meeting new people, interaction,etc and this led me to choose a startup after my graduation.
i worked in a startup in Gurgaon for 8 months, but it was not a well structures startup, and I slowly started seeing myself doing same repeating things again and again.
I wanted to work in a management sector but I was not learning anything new anymore so decided to give CAT and got admitted into IMT Ghaziabad and into marketing speciality. When I got the offer, I knew this is moment to shine, because finally I got it right what want to have and my main mission now is to improve my personality and concept understanding with adequate mix of practical know.
Ultimately my going is to be a senior manager at a major business organisation.
