I have known about ABGLP for a long time, coming from a family background of construction business I have grown up seeing sacks of Ultratech Cement piled up on construction sites, but It was in Dec 2016, when my knowledge about ABGLP group enhanced, earlier I used to think that ABGLP is all about cement manufacturing company only.
In Dec 2016 my under graduation placements were going on and we were supposed to wear formals to attend interviews and placement process. I went to buy shirts and pants from Peter England and my friends started discussing about the Aditya Birla Group being a parent company of Peter England.
It took me little time to digest this fact because I always had an image of ABGLP as only cement manufacturers.
But then curiosity developed within me and I started reading about ABGLP, to my amazement I could not believe how big and powerful this organisation is.
They are into major sectors and their products touches my life on daily basis.
The industrial group has its presence in almost all sectors – from textiles (Grasim), aluminium (Hindalco and Novelis), yarn (Nuvo), cement (Ultratech), telecom (Vodafone Idea Cellular), retail (Aditya Birla Retail), chemicals (Aditya Birla Chemicals) and so on.
Most of these companies are among the top ten in their sector and while they continue to grow.
I wish someday I am also able to impact the lives of people just the way Aditya Birla Group has done.
