There is no Indian who has not heard the name BIRLA. This itself explains how Aditya Birla Group has become a part of our life. Established in 1857, this group continues to function till date. It is operating in 36 countries and has spread its wings all over the world. There are many of their products which we use almost every day. The first thing that strikes my mind is IDEA. I had to move out of my house for my further studies, it is the idea which is making me stay connected with my family and friends. It is not just today that Idea is in my life, I have been through the idea’s transmission from the Idea to the ‘Idea Internet Network’. This is one of the greatest and successful journeys and I am proud to be a part of it.
Merit has to be given not just to the products but also to the way they are being brought to the public. Birla Group comes up with heart touching and message orienting advertisements that leave a stamp in the audience’s mind and heart. One such is the recent advertisement of the Ultra Tech Cement where a bridge is built between the houses of the two brothers which are separated by small water flow and the whole family gathers together on that bridge. This is a remarkable clipping in my life. Every time I see that video, it inspires me to create a strong bond with the loved ones in any kind of situation.
There are many other products like More, Pantaloon, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Liva, Madhura Fashion and Lifestyle which are extensively used by us for our daily necessities. Apart from the daily business activities, Aditya Birla Group is contributing to the social and economic development of the economically weaker sections of the society by reaching out to millions of people from different backgrounds and providing them with basic medical facilities, training skills for employment , free education to their children and above all a hope that they are not alone and ABG is standing with them.
It’s always not just about the money but also about what you give back to society. Aditya Birla Group is standing out amongst other companies because of its contribution to society. For the aspiring business leaders like me and many others, ABG is paving a path to be followed to be successful in our lives.
PART B
Life is like a Roller Coaster ride, there are ups and downs and many more unexpected turns, every time we think it is the last turn, a new turn pops up. This is exactly the situation with our lives. Every time we think that our life is going in a perfect direction, some unexpected situations arise and change the direction of our lives completely, so, we should always be ready to overcome anything coming in our way, only then we can succeed in our lives.
My life was very simple initially, I used to live in a village and go to a very small school, but my parents decided to give me and my brother good quality education, so we had shifted to a nearby city where I and my brother got admitted into an ICSE school. My brother was very young so he did not face any difficulty with his studies. I, on the other hand, was in my high school and things moved so fast around me that I couldn’t figure out what’s actually happening. I was so scared initially, I used to cry sometimes because I couldn’t understand anything, but then I realised that it’s not the way how things work there. So I prepared a time table for myself where I can allot equal time for all the subjects and learn each and every subject from the basics. This method of learning things from fundamentals has helped me a lot in improving myself. That way I achieved success and was able to score good marks in my boards.
Ever since I followed the only method of ‘First Principle’ and it always worked for me. Today I’m here studying in one of the premier B Schools preparing myself ready for the challenges to be posed by the corporate world. I want to stay strong and face every difficulty coming my way and come out with flying colours .
