Aditya Birla Group has touched my life in so many ways, be it clothes or cement(the house that I live in). When it comes to shopping, all the known brands that I shop from are associated with Aditya Birla Group, be it Louis Phillipe, Allen Solly or Forever21. But the most significant way Aditya Birla Group has impacted my life is with their mutual funds platform “Aditya Birla-My Universe”. When I had just completed my engineering and moved to Bangalore for my first job, I had absolutely no clue as to how to live financially independently, how to save intelligently and how to multiply my assets. Finally, my father asked me to start investing in mutual funds so that I become a financially aware person.
That is when I came across “My Universe” and thought of investing in Mutual Funds. This platform not only makes investing in mutual funds a piece of cake but also makes financial management look like a walk in the park. I could track my debit card bills, credit card bills, see what is happening to my FD and most of all keep track of my mutual funds very easily. The site is so user friendly that it took me just a day to get the hang of all that was happening in the markets, how I could buy or sell my shares and so much more. I have become more financially stable and more aware because of “My Universe”. And that is how Aditya Birla Group has made a huge impact in my life.

The most challenging situation that I faced was when I was working as a software developer in my company. I had joined this company as a fresher, directly placed from college. It was during my notice period that it so happened that all of my immediate and extended team members had to be a part of a training program but I was excused from it since I was leaving the company.
This was an 8 hours training program which was supposed to last 5 days; Monday through Friday. Meanwhile I was working only on my deliverables. On Wednesday, the on-shore team suddenly communicated to us that the code had to be uploaded on the development server for the client as the client wanted to see the latest code changes. And this had to be done by Friday.
The team member who was responsible for uploading all code on development server was in training and the code had to be delivered in 2 days. As I was the only one who was not attending the training, I was asked if I could somehow learn Jenkins Tool, a completely new technology, and get the code delivered. I did in fact take up the challenge and taught myself everything about Jenkins from various sources like YouTube and other seniors in office. I couldn’t directly ask other colleagues to help me out because our project came under client confidentiality.
Finally, after dedicatedly working for two whole days, Wednesday and Thursday, I was able to get the code delivered. Apart from a few minor hitches I was successful in uploading the latest code developments to the development server. This was one of the proudest moments of my life and I could see how proud even my team was of me.
