ABG offers some of the finest general management and product management roles that expose a BSchool grad to the different facets of management, helping him/her appreciate the challenging dynamics of the modern-day business scenarios. ABG is hence one of the most sought after recruiters for management grads who want to break into strategy and general management early in their career. I'm a daydreamer and hence when we got to know that ABG had opened up its doors to its coveted leadership programs to management graduates across the country, it was a state of euphoria for me.
Frankly speaking I never really thought of how prevalent ABG group was in my life until I sat down to write down this piece of article for the Woo Me contest. I have a Van Heusen shirt, solid purple in color with a string of black stripes. That was my first Van Heusen shirt. I bought it back when I was in my 12th grade and I feel that it has evolved with me over the past 8 years or so. It has been there for 8 long years, some of its bright shine is still there and it still gleams when worn with the right combination of a formal pant.
But why am I going into the factual details of my 8-year-old shirt? 8 years back I was a kid back in school, with a hazy sight of what I wanted out of my life(I'm still exploring though!). I have been through two very important phases since then; that is, my undergrad education and then a professional stint at two different companies. Just like my Van Heusen shirt, I still have that child glow in me but then I have also seasoned myself with critical life lessons over this span of time. Experiences over the past 8 years have taught me a lot about life, people, and things I definitely don't want to in life so I gleam the way my Van Heusen shirt still does.
I kind of relate to that shirt. It may be just another shirt that came off the production belt of a Van Heusen production house but for me, it is, not just a shirt but definitely more than that.
