There’s one more advertisement from the Aditya Birla Group which I am really fond of. Being an Engineer, I feel very proud when a company promotes their product by saying that it is ‘The Engineers’ choice.’ Yeah, I am talking about the Ultratech Cement. There were not many challenging the Ambuja Cement (Chennai Super Kings) in IPL season 1 until The Ultratech Cement (Rajasthan Royals) came along and beat them in the summit clash to take the IPL throne (Please bear with me, I am big cricket fan!). There is so much to talk about the Aditya Birla Group but I have word limit to care of. I just hope that the Aditya Birla Group keeps making a positive impact on the people’s lives as it has been doing since the last 162 years.

I come from Beed, a small town in Maharashtra and I belong to a middle-class family. For most of my school life, both of my parents were working. This led to my development of a really strong bond with my grandfather. He taught me almost everything that a kid should learn, well, except playing. He used to make me solve crosswords, read newspapers and general knowledge stuff and also to read the maps. It is because of him that I am well-versed with linguistic skills. I used to be in top 5 of the school regularly while also being an active cricket player.
All was going well until one day suddenly, I lost my grandfather to a fatal road accident. I was 15 years old back then and the trauma was enormous for me to deal with. Such was the shock that it is still the most difficult thing that I have ever had to face. It took a lot of time to heal the wounds from that agony. Soon after, I went to Pune for further education. Staying away from home presented a new challenge. My aim was to get into an IIT by clearing JEE, which I could not achieve. It was a hard pill to swallow as I was not used to failures until that time.
In 2013, I took admission into Mechanical engineering at Pune University. I graduated in 2017 and got placed into Bosch Pune. I was extremely happy with this achievement. The reason was the multiple rejections which I had received from the companies to which I had applied earlier. The competition was immense but it made me very strong mentally.
Even before joining Bosch, I had decided that I would go for MBA sometime in next 2-3 years. I had thought that it would be easy to manage CAT studies while also handling a full-time job. As it turned out, it was not so easy after all. In first 2 attempts at CAT, my below par score in DI-LR meant that my hopes of getting into a decent institution were ruined. Hence, there was a lot of pressure on me during my 3rd attempt. This time, I also had my increasing age, the ever increasing competition and also the steep workload at job in my mind. But I responded well to all the pressure and got into IMT Ghaziabad, an achievement which I am really proud of.
I have always sought excellence through continuous improvement and I look forward to achieve more in my life following this way.
