Forever 21, a US based brand acquired by the Aditya Birla Group, came to my locality, my hometown in Mumbai when I was a mere 16 year old girl who had just stepped into the teenage roller coaster years of my life. Up until the teen years rolled in, I was a child and that is why I only used to shop wherever my mother used to drag me by hand and buy them for me without too much of a thought from my end.
However, I remember walking into the Forever 21 store for the first time when it opened up in a mall that was rather close to my house. It was a large departmental store type set up with bright shininglights and clothes and accessories that look like they had been crafted just for you. I realized that they had the exact clothes, the exact fashion that my young teenage self yearned for. Adding to the value of that, the clothes were set in affordable prices. This made it easier for me to convince my mother to let me pick my own clothes. It was then that I begun developing a taste and love for shopping.
As the years went by, I remained a loyal Forever 21 customer. I then realized how therapeutic shopping felt to me. To me, shopping feels like an escape. When I shop, I feel like I have my life under control. The reason I felt this way was because, the most basic thing we as humans in a society today do is, to dress ourselves. Forever 21 clothes are trendy with the latest contemporary designs and I love the fact that they also have a plus size section so there'salways something for everyone. Forever 21’s tag-line “Fashion For Everyone”, for this reason, remains extremely relevant to me and makes me believe that anyone can look stunning with the right clothes. Fashion that connects with you can give you the rush, the confidence and the belief that you can take on the world.
