PART B : How I overcame challenges?
The best part of life is that it can push you into the darkest of times but also give you the strength to pull yourself up. However, the fact remains that life without challenges does nothing to help you grow and push your limits. Challenges can occur on a personal front such as the loss of a loved one, a failed friendship or relationship as well as on a professional front such as being stuck in a dead end job or having to deal with an inconsiderate boss or colleague.
The last few months were particularly challenging for me as I had to deal with the loss of someone I valued very much, my grandmother. Her death was an unexpected one considering the fact that she was in perfect health even at the age of 80. Incidents such as these can often throw your life off track. The sudden vacuum that fills your life when someone who was around all the time, isn’t around anymore, can affect you severely. Me being someone who finds it very awkward and difficult to express emotions even to the closest of people, found it hard to convey the rollercoaster of thoughts that were going on inside my head.
However, gradually things started to get better. I discovered how relieving it can be to open up to friends and family. I started to realise that there is nothing embarrassing about breaking down in front of your loved ones. Most importantly, I got to know the value of close companionships and how life can be infinitely better when you appreciate the people you love.
