PART A: Aditya Birla Group as the name goes is one of the most successful group established in India. This group has been a part of everyone’s life in one way or the other and even maybe without the knowledge of the person itself. Such part has also been a part of my life. From my childhood I have been shopping all my garments from pantaloons. This was without the knowledge that it is a part of ABG. Then when I learnt about the group I realized that majorly this group has been a part of my life since long. It had become an integral part of my life.

The journey with the group has been that first my father used garments of peter England and rest of us were purchasing the garments from pantaloons. The as I grew up I started purchasing Peter England casual wear for my teen journey. Then when I had to buy formals I have preferred Louis Phillip. I was very comfortable and satisfied with this brand and even suggested my father to move to it from Peter England.

It was all around me from the beginning and the situation at present is that I and my father use Peter England, Louis Phillip and sometimes even Van Heusen and my mother and sister get the garments from Pantaloons and mostly Forever 21. Even in case of cellular network 3 of the 4 members in my family used Idea and now Idea Vodafone Ltd.

So this shows that how Aditya Birla Group has been a part of my journey till today and I’m sure it will continue to be the same for the future as well.

PART B: At the core of the ABGLP program are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face. Even in my life I have made up the decisions that had a great impact in my life, have faced many challenges and overcame the toughest situation of my life.

One such instance in my life has taken place recently last year. I was pursuing chartered accountancy course and had my final attempt in May 2019. I had clear future plans of completing CA and then go for MBA by attempting competitive exam starting from November 2019. So as per my plan I was targeting to complete both CA and MBA by the 2022. But then there was a medical situation in the month of August 2018 for which I had to take 2 months bed rest and because of which my CA final attempt got delayed to November 2019. Now the situation was that I’ll have to delay my MBA preparation to 2020 as there was an overlapping of CA Final and MBA competitive exam. So my one year was getting wasted because of the medical situation.

The impact was my decision to go for the MBA exam in November 2018. I had decided to work hard for the MBA exam during my bed rest and apply for the same in November 2018. For CA I had taken decision that as my required articleship will be completed by the time MBA starts and so I could even continue it. By this decision the outcome was that instead of wasting one year I had saved one year and by the year 2021 I would have completed both my MBA and CA. Of course this is challenging and would require extreme efforts but the impact it will have would also be fruitful.
