All of us have grown to study and cherishing the diversity that our country is blessed with. We all have heard the slogan “Unity in Diversity” at some point in our life. IFMR is no exception, it makes sure that the MBA program consists of students from every state.
This diversity in batch helps in developing every individual to their maximum potential. You learn the culture of every region; you get to explore people from throughout the country and hence make yourself comfortable with everyone.
As a victim of human behaviour, everybody forms their regional groups initially and interact on similar patterns. But the air has a different flavor here. As inhaling the flavor increases with breathing on different sports arena IFMR has, it is the first place where we break the state boundaries and talk sports. Rest bonding is complemented by the group projects during the academics.
We also organize several events together. We contribute to society by doing our bits through Samarthan club. The tight schedule of the program doesn’t allow for much of holidays to be spent with family so we make a new family here. The family that shares every emotion. One of the ways we do that is by celebrating each and every festival with all the rituals. You will see a Keralite running on toes for Durga Puja and Bengalis soaked up in preparation for Pongal. This is how we learn to respect other cultures, love beyond boundaries. Celebrations teach us harmony more than teamwork, connecting more than networking. These are a few qualities that we inculcate apart from creating unforgettable memories with our buddies here.
