2.Campus and Infrastructure: IIM Kashipur operates from a temporary campus and has three hostels located at a distance of 400-1000 m from the campus. Rooms are allocated on single and double sharing basis. Sports facilities include, volleyball court, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basket ball court, cricket/football ground etc. Library is well stocked and has subscriptions to all major journals, newspapers, research databases, etc. Institute plans to shift to its permanent campus of 183 acres from academic session 2015-2016.
3. International Tie-ups: IIM Kashipur has student exchange program with two universities in France- EM Normandie and ESDES School of Business and Management, Lyon.
4 Location: Institute enjoys a unique location advantage by being located near to industrial belt as well as popular tourist places. Kashipur is in southern part of Uttrakhand and is one of the densely industrialized regions in South East Asia. Students get to do a lot of live projects and frequent industry interactions. Kashipur is located just 30 KMs from Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, 70 KMs from Nainital and 220 KMs from Delhi
5.Unique things about IIM Kashipur:
a.Community Radio Station: IIM Kashipur is the only IIM to have its own community radio station. This innovative project is taken up by students to facilitate knowledge exchange between surrounding community and the institute.
b. TEDxIIMKashipur: IIM Kashipur got the license to host the prestigious event and plans to conduct in July/August this year.
c.Bloomberg terminals: This is must have for all finance enthusiasts and IIM Kashipur is one of the few colleges to own one and conducts regular workshops for it.
6. Culture: The culture here is very enterprising and students don’t shy away from doing new things. Whether it is Graphitti walls across the campus, long bike ride in the surrounding beautiful hills, festival celebrations, parties or just a 3 AM case study discussion in the canteen, the life here is just vibrant and lively.
