The Ascent: From Quant to Consultant

Agnim’s professional journey connects deep quant skills with high-level strategy. He previously worked as a Quant Developer at BlackRock, building T-cost FX models for 59 currency pairs. His summer internship at Accenture Strategy proved his ability to pivot and deliver. He was tasked with reimagining the fund launch journey for a global asset management firm. This was not a theoretical exercise. Agnim had to quickly learn Figma to build UI prototypes and absorb deep domain knowledge. He designed and built a GenAI-powered orchestration prototype. His final demo was so successful it became a client-facing solution, demonstrating the trust he built and the real business impact he delivered.

The Inner Core: Resilience and Empathy

Agnim’s drive is built on a core of resilience and empathy. He comes from a humble background, shaped by his father's journey as a second-generation refugee. This cultivated a mental strength to persevere through adversity. His empathy is not just a word; it is an action. This is seen in his volunteer work, from teaching underprivileged children in Noida to observing rural challenges firsthand.

This was most evident at SETU, where he taught Math and Science. He noticed one quiet, failing boy, Sonu, whom others had given up on. Agnim started staying back after sessions, working one-on-one with him. He did not just teach formulas; he listened, encouraged, and even visited Sonu's home to convince his parents of education's value. That year, Sonu passed his board exams. Agnim never sought recognition for this. It was a quiet, consistent act of showing up for someone who needed it.

The Employable Edge in an AI-Augmented World

In today’s AI-augmented business world, Agnim’s key skill is his ability to translate cutting-edge technology into usable business solutions. He does not just talk about GenAI; he builds with it. This was proven during his Accenture internship. Tasked with reimagining a fund launch process, he taught himself Figma on the go and built an interactive prototype. This demo showed exactly how different user personas could use a GenAI tool to automate and orchestrate tasks. He makes AI understandable, usable, and impactful, moving it from a buzzword to a business asset.

Agnim Chakraborty combines the analytical mind of a quant with the compassionate drive of a social leader, currently serving as Secretary of XLRI’s social impact committee, SIGMA-oikos. He is a resilient, initiative-driven professional who learns fast and takes ownership. Managers can count on him to not only understand the complex data but also to empathize with the people behind it, delivering solutions that are both technically sound and human-centered.
