Akshat Jain: Best 50 | India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2025 | XLRI Delhi

Akshat Jain is a B.Com. (Hons) graduate from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. A consistent academic achiever, he topped his school in both Class 10 and Class 12. During college, he served as Senior Coordinator of the Placement Cell, where he interacted with companies, managed placement drives, and supported students through recruitment. He was also an active member of the Entrepreneurship Cell, which developed his creative thinking and problem-solving skills. To gain hands-on exposure, Akshat interned with the Business Controls team at Airtel Payments Bank, contributing to vendor reviews and third-party risk management. He also volunteered with Shiksha Bank, an NGO focused on child literacy and environmental causes, and joined Toastmasters International to build confidence in public speaking and leadership.

One of Akshat's biggest academic achievements was topping his school in Class 12, with 97.6% across all streams. The result reflected years of steady work and his interest in understanding concepts, particularly in Accounts and Economics. It gave him the confidence to aim higher and later secure admission to Ramjas College.

What sets him apart is a balance of quiet consistency and initiative. He takes ownership, follows through, and approaches responsibilities with sincerity, whether he is coordinating placements at Ramjas or contributing to vendor-risk processes at Airtel Payments Bank. His calm focus and willingness to step out of his comfort zone help him contribute in both individual and team settings.

He brings a foundation in finance and business operations, supported by hands-on experience in vendor review, third-party risk management, internal controls, and compliance. His placement-cell role developed stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills. Toastmasters and his NGO volunteering have further strengthened his confidence and perspective.

One skill Akshat is actively developing is assertive communication. Naturally calm and introverted, he is working on expressing his views with greater clarity and confidence in group projects, meetings, and Toastmasters sessions. The goal is to pair directness with empathy and become a more effective collaborator and leader.

He gained hands-on corporate exposure during his internship at Airtel Payments Bank, where he worked in the Business Controls team on vendor review and third-party risk management. Alongside, he volunteered at Shiksha Bank, an NGO focused on child literacy and environmental causes, which helped him connect with social issues on the ground. To build his confidence and communication skills, he joined Toastmasters International, where he participated in multiple speaking sessions and learned the basics of leadership and public speaking. Together, these experiences shaped him into a more aware, confident, and well-rounded individual.
