Indian Institute of Management, Shillong hosted the first edition of its Business Leadership Summit from September 14 to 16. Themed ‘Refine, Define, and Design Business in a New India,’ the three-day conclave hosted 24 experts from six key domains to give IIM Shillong students keen insights into the industry as it is now and how it is evolving.
On a fine Monday morning, a whole new chapter of our lives unfolded with us stepping inside the stunning XUB campus. The first few days were certainly an experience for us, and we use the word "experience" in the way that Randy Pausch used it in his famous Last Lecture, where he said that "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted." The first few days of our freshman year of college was a whole bunch of not getting what we wanted, But as Randy Pausch also said about experience in his Last Lecture, "experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer." It was a whirlwind of an experience for us, settling in and getting to know the flavor of X-life. The daily folderol defied the hackneyed theories of time. You will feel that 24 hours is less for everything you have to do in a day!! But then you will get to know a whole lot of new people during that time which is a considerable experience. That is what happened to us! We despite our frenetic schedule got time to network with people from manifold backgrounds and culture, and that is what kept us buoyant.
In the aftermath of the football world cup, the football fever in IIM Shillong was reignited with the Bamboo Premier League, the first sports event for this year conducted by the institute.
IIM Kashipur has always been at the forefront of bridging the gap between the academic curriculum and the industry requirement and the recently concluded first leg of “Coalescence 2018” bore testimonial to this very fact. IIM Kashipur hosted the Annual Management conclave “Coalescence 2018” on 4th and 5th August 2018. As part of the Management conclave the annual “Marketing Summit” was held on 4th August which witnessed the presence of various industry leaders from the Marketing domain. On 5th August the annual HR meet “Samanvaya” was held which was graced by the presence of various leaders from the HR domain.

With the rhythm of many nations resonating across the campus, SIBM Bengaluru will be the instrument that unifies and celebrates the cultural diversity from across the globe.
Eleganté is the maiden festival of IIM Bodh Gaya and the first event happened on 27 and 28 January 2018.
