It was the last lecture of the day, and I was blank. All I could hear were buzzes around. Professor was saying something. Students were making their observations from the case and about the discussion that was going on, but I was blank. You remember that childhood memory where the teacher would ask you to down your head, and you would go into slumber, you could hear everything around but just the feel of it. I experienced the same thing, but in a B-school in the middle of a case discussion and with my head up.

IIM life is synonymous with long class hours, late night assignments and lot of CV building activities. But that day something was different. It started as usual. I woke up at 8:30 to attend the class at 8:45, so we can expect the hurry. I attended classes on an empty stomach till noon and then I had lunch in 10 min to spare time for pre-reads for next lecture. At the end of the day I was pretty tired and exhausted and was cursing the day I chose to do an MBA from an IIM.

As far as my knowledge goes, I did not come across anyone from Pharmacy background who did an MBA, that too from an IIM, before joining IIM Raipur. I was a bit hesitant and intimidated before joining the course by seeing the profiles of students at CAP interviews, the majority were from IITs or NITs and others were from reputed commerce colleges across India. I thought I would be left out in the competition as I was the only guy who is from a pharmacy background in my batch.

"Googly On The First Day" - A Memorable Classroom Experience At IIM Rohtak
For any MBA grad, the two years spent in college are best years of their life and every moment of this journey is treasured. I believe nobody would forget the first day of their class. For me, the most memorable class was Operations class on very first day at IIM Rohtak. At IIM Rohtak, classes are based on case discussions since students are from diverse background, over two-year curriculum, it develops one to see the problem statement with different perspective and find best solution. As a preparation to my first case, had gone through the case multiple times with the fear that of missing something and checked the financials in the exhibits thoroughly to find any loop-holes in the case.

My Friend Circle At IIM Rohtak - An Introduction
College life is always meant to be full of experiences, which yes, of course, comes in so many facets. Be it late night scary movies with friends, or night live football matches in AC classrooms, be it having parties out in the market with friend circle or celebrating a festival in the campus, all ups and down eventually brings all of us a step closer to each other towards an experience, the likeliness of which could only be realised in its absence. I have a tons of memories among my friend circle. In this limited space, I will try to bring out a few masked personalities in the light (Names are changed for personal safety ;) )

Things That Make The IIM Rohtak Campus Special
The campus of IIM Rohtak is spread over 200 acres of land in the management city, Sunaria village. The campus is a green campus keeping in mind the safety of the environment and students are not allowed to commute inside the campus using vehicles. The Academic block and the Administration block are well furnished, and the IIM Rohtak logo has been set up at the top of the building which can be seen straight from the National Highway 10 on the side of which the campus has been established. After shifting to the new own campus of IIM Rohtak, students here get the freedom and flexibility to organize and conduct various events in the campus.
