We are not short of crazy people anywhere in India. The same stands in IIM Kashipur campus too. Though craziness is a relative concept and there is no proper scale to measure it, I think these are the craziest people in our college. I am not going to name them but I will continue with names as R, S, A, P.
IIM Kashipur, located away from the mainland Kashipur, provides a peace of mind to all the ignited minds it caters. If location is considered then it is a perfect blend as we can not only enjoy the nature but also the proximity of manufacturing and corporate hubs. Nature can be enjoyed as Nainital, Bhimtal, Almora, Jim Corbett National Park are nearby, and Shivalik ranges can be viewed from my hostel room window itself. Moreover, campus itself supports flora and fauna in its 200 acres of area. Also, you are sure to face the vagaries of nature during winter. Manufacturing hub of Rudrapur, which caters automobile and FMCG sectors, is located about 50 kilometres away from the campus. This provides ample opportunities to the students in the form of live projects and industry visits. The Corporate hubs of Delhi NCR are important from the placement perspective.
The three most important characteristics of a business school are faculty, peer group and facilities and the IIM Kashipur campus is gifted with respect to all these three attributes.
Uniqueness is the inherited property of all matter (physical substance in general, as distinct from mind and spirit; (in physics) that which occupies space and possesses rest mass, especially as distinct from energy). And the same is true for IIM Kashipur which differentiates it from the rest of the IIMs. IIM Kashipur commenced its operations from July’11 in the mentorship of IIM Lucknow.

The life in this winter at IIM Kashipur is no different and gives the lives dwelling here the feel of a home away from home.
Stress, Deadlines, Excitement, Cases, Clubs, Sports, and countless more things are an inseperatable part of any B-School, but that one thing which separates my school, from the other premier B-schools is its beauty. There would be no doubt, what so ever, in saying that it’s a baby in the nature’s lap. This was one thing which actually drove me to Kashipur, away from all the institutes in the polluted concrete jungles of the country.
It started as another typical marketing class with a case study as pre-read and a presentation from the next group on the list. I could remember, the case study was about 'ITC e-Choupal', the rural market e-hub which the ITC started. The designated group presented their thoughts and inputs on the case, they also recommended some suggestions to improve the reach and awareness (which was the major issue they were facing). Their recommendations invited multiple opinions from the class, the class discussion went up, bringing in various perspectives and ideas. It was going well and by the time the opinions were saturated and everyone came to a common ground, our professor then brought a new perspective to the arena.
With already in an awe of the brand IIM, the students were excited about learning and experiencing something new every moment from the day we joined this Institute. Slowly but steadily we had started to adapt to the unique Pedagogy of IIM Kashipur. Having the best faculties in the campus was something that played a pivotal role in reaching the institute where it is today.
