As I started for my 4 hour journey from New Delhi to Kashipur, quite a number of thoughts crossed my mind. Having been brought up in a metropolitan city, will I be able to adjust to the new place? How will be the campus life in a small town like Kashipur?

Uniqueness is the inherited property of all matters (physical substance in general, as distinct from mind and spirit; (in physics) that which occupies space and possesses rest mass, especially as distinct from energy). And the same is true for IIM Kashipur which differentiate it from rest of the IIMs.
According to the Oxford dictionary, unique means “being the only one of its kind” or “particularly remarkable, special, or unusual”. So then what makes my college the only one of its kind or special or unusual?
Have you ever been deciphered by a psychologist? Or have you ever been caught redhanded, subconsciously hiding those attributes which could be unearthed only after proper introspection? We are quite seasoned players in covering our real selves. But there are some ulterior motives (ego satisfaction, inferiority complex, etc.) in doing so.
When people think of any Indian Institute of Management, they often picturise an organization driven by engrossed people, people living a fast life, life with goals and targets, targets that make you run a marathon, marathon which doesn’t let you pause for a moment and actually “LIVE” that moment. At least that is what I thought about IIMs before becoming a part of one. But life never seizes to surprise you.
Time just flows by in a blink if u have not lived it well and yet, for some others, it is enough to be worth reminiscing. Well, as for me, this year has set me off with some remarkable yet distinctive changes in my set routine. With me finding time for procrastination amidst exams to me being punctual to my classes at IIFT. With me parting ways from some good people on one hand while meeting some other good people on the other.
Securing admission to IIFT Delhi was obviously a huge moment for me. I was very excited to be a part of one of the best Business Schools in the country, learn from the distinguished faculty, interact with my peers and enjoy my campus life. In this regard, out seniors conducted an event for us in our very first week, aimed at familiarising us with the IIFT campus.
