On the 14th of January, 2016, VGSoM had the privilege of welcoming to the campus Mr. Anupam Dikhit, Industry Manager, Twitter India for an interaction with the students under the Vaarta’ 16 series of guest lectures. Specializing in the digital marketing ecosystem, Mr. Dikhit, who also has the distinction of being chosen as the Economic Times Young Leader in 2012, had a wealth of experience to share with the audience. In what was an exceedingly engaging session, the students gained some valuable exposure to ‘marketing in the moment’, a trend that is taking precedence over conventional marketing mechanisms, and more so in a transforming global market characterized by the customer’s need for relatedness and instant gratification.

A newspaper is an integral part of many people’s lives. It’s so deeply rooted in our lifestyle that even in this age of digitization it has firmly held its share of the market. But have you ever wondered how the newspaper reaches to your doorsteps every morning without fail?
The CMAT conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was held yesterday i.e 17th January 2016. More than 400 b-schools are listed that accept CMAT scores. This year around 1.25 lakh candidates took the test. The results will be declared on 21st January 2016.
For many MBA Aspirants, MH-CET proves to be a silver lining behind a dark cloud. CMAT is done yesterday and now nest on the radar is MH- CET. With coveted B-Schools like JBIMS, KJ Somaiya, SIMSREE etc falling under its cap, the exam holds a special place for the students who target these particular B-Schools.
This season at FORE, the placement session which started in Nov 2015, is coming to an end with 90% students placed and many having multiple job offers from prominent corporates. Apart from the traditional recruiters from FMCG, IT/ITeS, Manufacturing, Banking and Consulting domains, there has been e-commerce, Unicornsand Tech start-ups recruiting from the campus, as well.
