Season #5 of Summer Placement Reporting continues today with XLRI Jamshedpur. One of the best schools in India, XLRI has been sharing data with us since 2012 and the general perception has always been very positive of the report being mostly accurate and largely transparent. It is also quite notable that many of the best recruiters are wiling to travel all the way to recruit at Jamshedpur (there is no direct flight anymore). It points to two things - 1) Quality of Students and the XLRI brand 2) The super-strong Alumni base of the oldest business school in India (1949 - although the BM programme was introduced much later)
Did you guys watch the Floyd Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao fight that was staged at Las Vegas in May’15?
There is so much hype and noise around this latest South Indian Telugu Flick - Baahubali that I started taking note of it. I am not a big fan of Telugu movies for the simple fact that I don't understand the language. Since Baahubali had a IMBD rating of over 9.5, I decided to take a plunge and watch the movie as I was promised that there are English Subtitles shown on screen. The movie was Phenomenal and No wonder its shattering all box office records and still roaring to go high. Anyways, this post is not a review of the movie.
All it takes to get a good job or admission in a good school is… a Burger!
The contingent from IIM Udaipur has made the institute proud at the Annual sports fest of IIM Ahmedabad, Shaurya, which was held recently in the hallowed environs of the esteemed college. The team participated in six sports and the performance in these events helped the institute clinch an overall top ten finish amongst the umpteen numbers of teams. This was largely due to the brilliant performances which eventually led to third place finishes in football, Table Tennis and badminton.
