The Real Stars!

I’m trying to search for a good beginning. But honestly I’m at a loss of words. The literary scholars say that a catchy start can win you the appreciation for your piece, so I guess I’ve lost out on that. It so happens sometimes when something is very close to your heart you fail to express it. The perfect argument to this maybe “then why are you writing at all ?” ( I got a start..now we’re talking!!). I think this is a great platform to share my 33 months of work experience at the Paralympic Committee of India. ”But why would anyone be interested in YOUR experience? Isn’t that a little, rather very pompous of you? ”My defense : No no..Just hear (sorry read) me out.

Technology: Competition's Ally or Enemy?

Charles Darwin had said that only the fittest will be able survive in this world. The question is who is the fittest. If we consider competition among human beings themselves, the meaning of "fittest" has changed multiple times. In prehistoric times men with supreme physical strength used to be the fittest. Coming closer this notion of physical strength has given away to the notion of possession of intelligence and resources. Resources which make a person/country superior to its counter parts. Technology today has a big part to play in the same. But is it required? Is it desirable? Like everything it has its pros and cons.

Digital Media, Pop Culture and why it’s the best time to be in Marketing!

It’s crazy how quickly we pick up things and make it a part of our lingo, and sometimes our lives. Take the ‘mauka mauka’ commercials for example. We cannot watch a cricket match without them. They’re hilarious. I can’t write this without humming ‘mauka mauka’ and I bet neither can you read this is without humming ‘mauka mauka’. Stupid isn’t it? We enjoy it nevertheless.

Aspiration to Transformation: A journey of one year at IIM Trichy

In the movie ‘Transformers’, a car can become a humanoid in just seconds. But in real life the transformation from an Engineer to a Management student took many turns and unfolded mysterious paths and reached the destination at IIM Trichy. Like the hot filter coffee of south India, Trichy welcomed me with a heat of 450C. But the cool seniors gave a grand welcome and the friends/batchmates made the environment habitable for a Bangalorean like me.

Yes it is the time to appear for those nervous interrogations and take one step closer to your dream of becoming an MBA. To some it may appear to be a Herculean task and to some it is like a result of years of penance, but having been there and experienced it all, take my word that it is actually not that tough.

Why MBA - Dare to Think Beyond Grades

9.00 AM - The piercing blare of my phone’s alarm brings me back from the thirteenth dimension of deep sleep as my non-REM cycle aborts and I awake with a splitting headache, with the choicest of cuss words for my phone, my timetable, my life in general. But a good seven snoozes later I’m back to my best behaviour. Picking the least smelly pair of jeans from the laundry bag, I jog to my 9.30 class.
