Summer Placements : IIM Bangalore – Class of 2014 -16

This is the fourth Summer Placement report at IIM Bangalore that we are reporting on InsideIIM.com. IIM Bangalore is one of the best schools in India and hence they are some sort of a benchmark which one can track as far as business school placements in India go. You have to consider yourself fortunate to be at IIM Bangalore. The fact that almost 10% of the batch is expected to intern abroad is quite impressive. Of course, one of the other highlights has been the pace at which people have got placed this year for summer internships.

We have accumulated hundreds of books over the years. Keeping them dust-free has always been a problem. And, shifting them a major challenge. Luckily, we didn’t move for several years (we were in the same house from 2003-2013), but my move to Indore and shifting out of the IIMB campus meant that we had to finally deal with these books.

Interrobang experience - Winner of ITC Interrobang?! IIM Indore 2014

It was an interesting experience working for Interrobang. I knew this was a very prestigious competition and there were PPIs at stake. So I was taking this competition very seriously. The team formation happened by chance. I had participated with Sruthi in many competitions and participating in this one with her was an obvious choice. Arjun came up to me and asked me to participate in this competition with him. I had an experience working with him in Career Launcher live project. Sumit came along with Arjun. So we had a fair idea of each other’s strengths. I was convinced that this could be a decent team. We named the team Cookie Monsters, which I though was a bit witty ;)

The teacher wrapped up as the clock hit 6:15. The students were tired and jaded, having been in the class for well over four hours. They had given their first marketing presentations, and it had sapped them through. Some bundled towards the canteen for a sip of cola, some to their respective rooms to just lie down and some to the tea shop across the highway.
