The same 'TIME', but through a different eye
A word which boasts of a whopping twenty – seven different meanings in Merriam Webster‘s lexicon – a word which science has failed to bind within the geometrical constrains of the English language. The elusive word in context here is ‘TIME’ – an enigma in itself. My objective here is not to add to the existing list of definitions and hence, contribute to the confusion, but to analyse, perhaps visualize and eventually attempt to realize what time actually is. I solemnly confess that my approach is neither inspired by Hawkings’ perspective, nor is it Newtonian in method – but is rather oriented towards the Shakespearan, the Freudian, or maybe even the Kafkaesque. Philosophers & scientists both have understood and believed that time is stretchable – indeed, it stretches from the alpha to the omega. It stretches from the severing of the umbilical cord of a new-born to the time when he has his ‘time’ up in this mortal world – and in between, it encapsulate joy, sorrow, anger, jealously, sacrifice, love, and every other emotion humanly possible.

IIM Ranchi celebrates Ganeshutsav
The students at IIM Ranchi showed great zeal and enthusiasm as its Khelgaon hostel became the abode of Lord Ganesha for three days. As a part of the initiative taken by the “Marathi Mitra Mandal”, a group of students hailing from Maharashtra , the much-awaited Ganeshotsav was celebrated. It commenced on Aug 29th with setting up a Ganesh idol in a room beautifully decorated by the students. Glittering lights and bright rangolis formed a sight to behold. It was heartening to see all the students pay meticulous attention in carrying out all the rituals in a traditional manner. It brought out the rich cultural quotient among all of them, and also filled the air with a festive atmosphere.

The Great Indian B School Debate - Semi-Final Lineups
We had six bruising battles in the second round. From twelve contestants, we are now down to four. In these battles, IIFT Delhi and Team Lucy ..... from IIM Trichy continued their excellent performance. IIM Ranchi and IIM Lucknow were the other two teams that made it to the semi-finals. XLRI Jamshedpur, VGSoM IIT Kharagpur and MDI Gurgaon missed out narrowly on a place in the final four. One thing unites all four semi-finalists - they took the logically most direct approach to proving their arguments, and demolishing those of their opponents.
