In this article, I will try to answer some questions related to the impact of COVID-19 on placements in Indian business schools. I will cover mainly three points in this article-
Accepting failures and moving on in life is something that is never taught in any school while growing up. For IIM Shillong student Gaurav Lakhani, dealing with one such failure was very difficult. As we fight the COVID-19 crisis, BSchool students and companies all across India are gearing up for a different experience altogether. Nobody was ready for something so uncertain but isn’t that what we are always taught in our MBA? VUCA world in practice, eh? And since we are accustomed to changes, we will all certainly sail through this as well! While working from home can seem a lot more daunting and uncertain, past experiences of B-School students can certainly help to give an idea on how to successfully complete our respective internships. Location: Grand Ballroom of Taj Santacruz, Mumbai | Date: 12th February 2020, 11 AM Hundreds of MBA students, journalists and reputed industry leaders are anxiously waiting for the results of Business Standard Best B-School project competition. The competition selects crème-de-la-crème summer internship projects from top B-schools in India. My summer internship project at Titan had been selected as one of the final 5 projects that were to be showcased to the jury. All 5 of the finalists have finished our presentations and while the jury evaluates the results, the audience is asked to guess the best project.
Ritika was almost done with Microsoft. She decided to move to Bangalore, left her job, booked tickets to Tanzania for a long vacay, and packed her bags too! And then her colleague at Microsoft popped up and asked her if she would like to move to the USA instead! In 3 days, Ritika Gupta, Ex Yatra & Dainik Jagran, MICA alum, had taken up her current role as Senior Program Manager at Microsoft Teams. In 3 months, she did move to a new city as planned, just this time it was in the USA! In this 3rd and last video of Ritika's interview, she talks to us about Microsoft Teams, and how they are managing the extra workload due to COVID 19 and the work from home policy.
