From Kathor To Brillian! - PPO Experience By Vishal Kadiyala - IIM Rohtak

From Kathor To Brillian! - PPO Experience By Vishal Kadiyala - IIM Rohtak

The day I recieved a PPO, I was ecstatic to go back to the place which I would call the Mecca of Learning, Brillio Global. A dynamic Digital Transformation Company working on cutting edge technologies providing ample scope to broaden your horizons.     After a gruelling first year here at IIM Rohtak with tons of classes, assignments and presentations, we were all momentarily elated to step back into the corporate world and embark on a new journey. I was given the project details, greeted with a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and a thoughtful book on leadership well before the internship began.     The D-Day arrived and there I was with all the enthusiasm in Bangalore. We were 18 interns from various prestigious colleges across the country like IIFT, IIT-D, SCMHRD and others. The journey started with insightful thought-provoking sessions given by leaders of organization which helped to understand different business verticals. The bars were set high and every intern was alloted a project based on his/her vertical. Finally, the day ended with fun activities by the HR team and we got back to the cozy accomodation provided. All the interns stayed at the same hotel which helped us to get acquainted with each other quickly. We used to explore new places and restaurants all around Bangalore every night satiating our hunger.       The next day we reported to our assigned project locations and the stage was all set for the next 8 week roller coaster ride. My project was on salesforce platform. Brillio, being a Gold partner of Salesforce in North America, I had to benchmark "Competition and Industry Best Practices" for Digital Front Office division and come up with recommendations in terms of solutions for the practice to make a headway in the next couple of years.     The culture and people in the company are top-notch. Every team has frequent outings and parties. There is no dress-code and time-logging as well. No matter how minute your doubts are, the team members are always there for you to help. Also, no barriers exist between employees and business heads, leaders. I used to be in constant touch with the Director and Business Unit head of my practice asking them continuous feedback to understand the problem at hand in depth and fine tune my work.     At the same time, I was also given an opportunity to work on live projects. I took the classic way of breaking down the requirements into simpler bits and parts to accomplish the desired result. The learning gained by working on real time projects is of utmost value. I ensured my weekly reports are constantly updated and also refactored the deliverables which made my job much easier in the later stages. The tag of an intern didn't matter at all and every input given was taken into consideration.     I believe that prioritizing your most important work among the multiple tasks given to you and working with passion to achieve desirable results is the key. At the same time building relationships with all the team members involved and talking to different departments, seeing things from a different purview will definitely improve your thought process.     Overall, Brillio is a company for people who are open to learn and grab new opportunities. Every task will be having its own set of challenges and the key is to structure your work and network with as many people as possible to gain insights. Always be curious in knowing the intricate details which would help you achieve the overall objective!     Vishal KadiyalaIIM Rohtak, PGP 2018-2020

Artificial Intelligence Or Emotional Intelligence - IIM Kashipur

Evolution has been an integral part of human civilization. At a certain point, there were about six different species on earth and their ecological impact was as meager as other animals on this planet. But today, seventy thousand years later, we, the Homo sapiens are the undisputed rulers of the planet. Our evolutionary road is marred with blood and decorated with some of the greatest innovations, discoveries and inventions. From being simple foragers to settling along the fertile river plains to building some of the greatest economies operating on complicated principles of capitalism, socialism and democracy, ours has been a breath-taking tale of perseverance and genius.
