The Indian start-up ecosystem in India has boomed ever since the explosion of the dotcom era, with the launch of Rediff.com and Shaadi.com. In 2007, the pioneers of potential decacorn start-ups, Flipkart, was founded by Sachin and Binny Bansal, who were former Amazon employees. As of 2017, the company is valued at approximately $11.6 Billion and was one of the first Indian unicorn start-ups along with Ola. Other unicorns include SnapDeal, PayTM, Hike, Zomato, and most recently, Byju's.
What do you want to do after your MBA? A job? A good job, perhaps? But what would make you feel that you are REALLY doing something? The final few minutes were ticking off at an unhurried pace. Gazes locked onto one another, only to look away in fear of spilling the vital information. Sweaty palms soaking the jeans upon which they rested. Fingers tapping away like that of a mad pianist to match the speed of the beating soles which could have put a tap dancer to shame. The tension was so palpable that one could have just plucked it out of thin air with bare hands.

Like many students, travelling abroad and exploring a new culture, lifestyle and country was something I had always dreamt of. Hailing from Saharanpur, it was never an easy dream to capitalize on. Until a year back, I had never even thought of such a fast-tracked life.
