Inside The Mind Of Captain Cool - Strategy With RS

MS Dhoni record suggests that he is a very successful captain.

As he steps down as India’s ODI & T20 captain, I am reminded of a selection of his sayings that will gives us an insight into why he earned the sobriquet - Captain Cool

1. You don’t play for the crowd, you play for your country

2. You won’t see a Sreesanth bat like Don Bradman just because he wants to bat like one.

3. I believe in giving more than 100% on the field, and I don’t really worry about the result - if there is a greater commitment on the field – that’s a victory for me.

4. If you are not 100% fit & not at your best (and still play) it’s cheating

5. I am on national duty & everything else can wait

6. I have three dogs at home. Even after losing a series or winning a series they treat me the same way

Here is what his fraternity members had to say about Captain Cool:

7. If 15 runs are needed off the last over, the pressure is on the bowler, not on MS Dhoni – Ian Bishop

8. I should go to war with Dhoni by my side – Gary Kirsten

9. The best compliment for me is when someone says they will pay to watch me play. And I can say that I’ll pay to watch MS Dhoni bat.– Adam Gilchrist

10. When I die, the last thing I want to see is the six that Dhoni hit in the 2011 World Cup final – Sunil Gavaskar

Do have any Dhoni saying that gives an insight into how he managed to remain ‘cool’ when everything around him was turning into topsy-turvy.
