Thousands of minds, millions of thoughts, across ages and stages, an amalgamation of hopes, desires, passions and inclinations; all Lucknowites brought together at the heart of the city by one word: INDEX. What is INDEX? A fun night out for families, to feast on the choicest cuisines, engage in a multitude of fun games, and browse through gorgeous handicrafts? Or a time for teens to put on their dancing shoes and groove to the beats at the DJ nights and concerts, or prepare to shine as Mr or Ms INDEX, or the champion of Footloose or RJ Hunt, or just “hang”? Or is it a time for the young professionals to loosen their ties, ease off their blazers and lose themselves in two nights of fun and excitement?

The student community at IIM Ranchi has come up with a novel way to spread smiles this Diwali.
Samarpan, the CSR Club of IIM Ranchi has initiated "Joy of Giving ~ Fulfil Wishes, Gift Smiles" .
The club members seek to fulfil wishes of
1) students at Kshitish School for differently abled children
2) the cleaning, security, mess and driving staff at IIM Ranchi hostel
They went about asking wishes to each student and staff member and came up with two brilliantly decorated wish trees-
"Wish Tree for Kshitish"- consisting of wishlists of students of Kshitish school a school for differently abled (Deaf & Dumb) children
"Wish tree Sahayak"- Sahayak means 'The one who helps'. Thus, this tree has Wish List of those people who 'help' us in making our time here at IIM Ranchi a little easy either 'by cleaning our rooms and toilets' or 'by looking after our 24*7 security, irrespective of the weather' or 'by preparing our daily meals', or bridging the gap between college and hostel, i.e., the HOUSEKEEPING staff, the SECURITY staff, the MESS staff, the BUS DRIVERS.
The students seek voluntary contributions to help these wish trees grow, to bring a smile to faces of those not so lucky as us, and to celebrate this Diwali with a difference.

Sanskriti 2015 - A War was fought. Amidst sleepless nights and jam-packed schedules, the students of IIM Trichy managed to conjure up a show so stunning that it was really a Battle of Entertainment rather than the purported Battle of Sections. The participants from both sections danced their hearts out while basking in the limelight, spreading smiles and making memories.
Micanvas ‘2015 , the flagship annual fest at MICA, unravelled the surprises and excitement from October 30, 2015 to November 1, 2015. Micanvas is a melting pot of participation by supreme talent across crème-de la- crème business schools in the country and thoughts by eminent personalities across successful organisations. Micanvas 2015’ was a splendid pageantry of music, humour, creativity, business ideas, drawing a footfall of 200 students from best B-Schools in India, including IIM Ahmedabad, Great Lakes, SIBM, SIMC Pune, JBIMS, NMIMS and Delhi College of Commerce.
IIM Shillong’s Golf Cup Season 8 culminated successfully on November 8. The annual B-school tournament was hosted over November 7-8, and saw participation from over 100 pioneering golfers, cutting across government, academia, and industry. The tournament, first of its kind for any business school in India, is a unique and well woven event which facilitates industry- academia participation and encourages professionals to “Look East”. The event this year, like in the previous years was hosted with great fanfare, with a series of pre events like the Plenary session, “Run for Shillong” marathon to name a few. As part of the student committee involved in organising the event, I was reaking in different emotions at distinct times; anxiety, excitement, exhaustion, but as I look back, the overpowering feeling has been that of satisfaction and joy.
