Falguni Rathi: Best 50 | India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2025 | IIM Lucknow

Falguni Rathi is a first-year MBA student at IIM Lucknow. Growing up in a small village in Rajasthan, she funded her education after losing her father early in life. Despite these hurdles, she secured top ranks, received the Gargi Puraskar twice, and earned national scholarships for five consecutive years. Her experience across marketing, sales, and partnerships at BeYours, Mediquent, and Unispade has shown her how creativity, problem-solving, and persistence work together in business. She also contributes to blood-donation drives, animal welfare, and fitness activities.

She is most proud of supporting her family financially while excelling academically after losing her father at a young age. To reduce the financial burden, she worked multiple part-time jobs and fully funded her own education. Despite these challenges, she secured top ranks in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, earning national scholarships for five consecutive years. This achievement is not only about academic success but also about resilience, discipline, and responsibility. It shaped her mindset to remain focused in adversity and gave her the confidence to pursue ambitious goals while balancing multiple priorities effectively.

Falguni's resilience, adaptability, and people-centred leadership set her apart. She moved from a science background into business and adapted quickly to marketing, consulting, and general-management work. Her experience includes influencer campaigns at BeYours, partner selection at Unispade, and sales-lead analysis at Mediquent. Funding her education and supporting her family strengthened her empathy, discipline, and sense of responsibility. She wants to combine business growth with social responsibility through mentoring, community initiatives, and sustainable business practices.

Falguni combines strong academics with practical business exposure and interpersonal skills. Her marketing, sales, and operations work includes influencer campaigns, analysis of more than 50 sales leads, and partnership-process improvements. She has also mentored peers during seminars, led cultural activities, and persuaded teams through evidence-based solutions. These experiences have strengthened her communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.

Falguni is working on balancing perfection with efficiency. Striving for excellence has helped her deliver high-quality work, but being overly critical of an output can delay decisions. During her MBA, she is learning to prioritise speed, clarity, and iterative improvement when the situation calls for it. The goal is to become a more decisive professional who can lead teams under pressure.

Losing her father at a young age made Falguni take responsibility early. She worked multiple jobs to fund her education without letting go of her academic ambitions. The period taught her resilience, financial discipline, and empathy for others facing similar struggles. She brings that persistence, along with a people-first approach, to the teams and organisations she joins.
