CAT THROUGH KHAN ACADEMY

I was born and brought up from a backward village in Haryana. My Village is a place of sparse opportunities but abundant social problems. In spite of all those issues, I always dreamt big and I overcame all those problems by hard work and sheer persistence. After graduation, I decided to appear for the CAT exam since I always wanted to be an entrepreneur. But when I started preparing for CAT, I had to face my worst nightmare. Given my educational background, my control over English was very poor. But I was determined to get an MBA degree from a reputed IIM and so, I started my CAT preparation with a positive mindset. The standard of the CAT exam was so high that I had to take help from any resource available. I primarily relied on the resources online and with a non-engineering background, my mathematical skills were not as sharp as it was to be expected from an IIM candidate.  I stumbled into an online app called ‘Khan Academy’ and It really helped me a lot with regards to my maths skills. I also improved my English with the help of Khan Academy. It is an amazing app that helps you learn any subject you desire. Even after the CAT, I still use  the app to learn Physics since I lost touch with the subject after my 10th Std.  This is how I cracked CAT got the admission from IIM Sirmaur, which once looked like a dream too far.
