That blissful moment when dreams turn into reality!
Each individual who appeared for CAT exam longed for getting into an IIM. After landing in IIM Raipur, I can proudly say that I am living my yearning. “A glimpse of your dreamland can drive away the tiredness of the journey in a second”. Yes and so did happen.
As can be anticipated, being miles away from home for the first time in my life, initial couple of days were not easy. I had experienced a social stun, emotional setback and heaps of anxieties and apprehensions possessed my psyche. However, tons of assignments, lectures and sessions helped me redirect my thoughts to what was before me. I can vouchsafe that the four-day orientation programme that took place will be cherished by each and every student here. Dressed up in business formals, each individual was brimming with enthusiasm to listen to the dignitaries from all possible walks of life. The
programme ended with a bash by a ‘Cultural Night’. This event hiked my happiness when I was praised for the “spectacular” Fashion Parade I was a part of and a “serene” Dance that I performed.
The institute has given me tremendous exposure to all sorts of events ranging from summits to national level fest, Equinox. Being a part of CUSP – the Cultural and Sports Club of IIM Raipur, I have been able to enhance my skill of organising glitch-free events.
The time flies and so it did. With loads of projects, assignments and presentations, we sailed along. Apart from the academics, the institute focuses on the enhancing and grooming every individual as a manager by providing exposure to the students in terms of building corporate relations. We have been addressed by many guests from the corporate world.
Looking forward to an exciting road ahead!Despite the fact that it has just been a year here, it seems to me like I have been living here since forever. Strangers have become dear ones, seniors have become guardians and the entire IIM Raipur fraternity has become a family. It is not just a ‘Brand Tag’. It is a package of unforeseen events happening every now and then. These few months have made it possible for me to predict that the upcoming two years are going to be “The Time of my Life”.
