Saurabh Arora: Best 50 | India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2025 | IIM Bangalore

Saurabh Arora is an MBA student at IIM Bangalore with experience across strategy, execution, and creative work. He began at Bain & Company on global strategy projects before moving to Dubai as the youngest member of noon's strategy team. There, he led the launch and scale-up of the Beauty, Baby, and Health categories on the quick-commerce platform. He later joined Bira 91 to drive product and growth initiatives and received the Best in Troop award. A commerce graduate from SRCC, he ranked in the top 8% of his class and served as Head of Marketing for the Dramatics Club.

At noon, Saurabh led the launch of the Beauty, Baby, and Health categories on the quick-commerce platform, building the vertical from scratch. With tight timelines and no established playbook, he designed processes for assortment, pricing, and marketing. Within six months, the team scaled the vertical into a multi-million-dirham business. The systems he created later became a blueprint for future category launches.

Saurabh has held strategy roles in consulting and consumer companies. At Bain & Company, he supported global retail clients on cost optimisation and category management. He then joined noon in Dubai as a Strategy Manager, working on company-wide initiatives including the launch and scale-up of its quick-commerce platform. At Bira 91, he led cross-functional work across trade spend, GTM planning, and annual business planning.

Saurabh moves comfortably between strategy, execution, and storytelling. He has worked on global strategy at Bain, launched new categories at noon, and driven growth at Bira 91 across India and the Middle East. His theatre background adds a people-focused perspective to his business work: he is attentive to audience, narrative, and clear communication. He can work on financial models and GTM decks while also operating in boardrooms, warehouses, and national theatre stages.

Saurabh brings strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and creative communication. He can break down complex problems, identify patterns, and build data-backed solutions. Theatre taught him to read an audience, respond with empathy, and adapt his message. He is comfortable taking charge, thinking on his feet, and working with diverse personalities in both executive presentations and informal team settings.

Saurabh is working on becoming more comfortable with ambiguity. At Bain, structure was the norm, while noon and Bira required him to lead without clear answers or timelines. He initially struggled with over-planning and hesitation. Drawing on theatre, he is learning to improvise under pressure, trust his judgment, break problems into smaller pieces, and act with conviction.

One of Saurabh's toughest decisions was leaving a high-growth role at noon and returning to India to prioritise his health. He had just led a major launch and was gaining visibility, but the pressure had taken a mental and physical toll. Stepping away and starting over was difficult, yet the experience taught him to pause, reset, and choose long-term clarity. He sees the MBA as a chance to build sharper skills and greater clarity about the leader he wants to become.
