CMAT Score vs Percentile 2025: What is CMAT Score?
Scaled and Raw Score: The CMAT 2024 was conducted over two slots. A similar trend is expected for this year which will lead to the normalization of scores.
- Raw Score is calculated by multiplying your total correct attempts into 4 minus the wrong attempts into 1. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
- The normalization process scales the overall score up or down, adjusting the marks according to the paper's difficulty level.
Example: You attempted 85 questions out of 100. Out of 85, 70 answers were right and 15 were wrong. So, your total raw score in CMAT will be 70*4 = 280-15 i.e., 265.

Percentile indicates your performance in the exam in comparison to other test takers. Similarly, your CMAT exam percentile indicates your comparative exam performance. For Example, a score of 98%tile means you are among the top 2% of test takers.

The CMAT Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (raw scores). Therefore, each session's topper (highest scorers) will get the 100th percentile.
