The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a gateway to numerous management programs in India. It is a three-hour online test conducted by NTA. Each year, around 75,000 candidates appear for the exam. CMAT 2025 will take place on 25th January 2025.  To cover the CMAT 2025 syllabus, includes five sections, with equal weightage (20 questions each). Preparation Tips for CMAT 2025:

1. The quants side is majorly covered if you have prepared for CAT and other OMETs. Revise Algebra, Arithmetic, and Number System.
2. The VA section is similar to that of SNAP and NMAT. It includes grammar and vocabulary along with RCs.
3. Logical Section won't be as difficult as CAT and includes topics such as clocks, series, and blood relations that you prepare with SNAP and NMAT.
4. Focus on current affairs for GK. Go through a GK compendium or daily GK videos on YouTube.
5. For entrepreneurship go through PYQs from 2021.

Q.1. What is the CMAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship syllabus? Which books to study?

Ans: The Innovation and Entrepreneurship section in CMAT tests your understanding of building and managing businesses using creative strategies. Ans: CMAT doesn’t have sectional cutoffs; only the overall score and percentile matter for shortlisting. However, some colleges might have their criteria, so it’s a good idea to check the requirements of the specific institutes you’re applying to.

Q.3. Is there any sectional time limit on the CMAT exam?

Ans: No, there is no sectional time limit in the CMAT exam. You have a total of 3 hours to complete all five sections, and you can switch between sections as you like. This flexibility allows you to manage your time based on your strengths and strategy.

Q.4. Who is eligible for the CAT Exam 2025?

Ans: To appear for the CMAT 2025 exam, candidates need a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply if they will finish their degree before admissions begin. General category applicants must have at least 50% marks, while reserved categories need 45%. There is no age restriction for the exam, and degrees should be from institutions approved by recognized authorities. Make sure to confirm your eligibility before registering to avoid any issues later.

Q.5. When will the CMAT exam be Conducted?

Ans: The CMAT 2025 exam is on January 25, 2025. 

Q.6. When will I receive my CMAT admit card?

Ans: You’ll be able to download your CMAT 2025 admit card starting January 20, 2025. Before that, on January 17, 2025, you’ll be able to check your exam city slip. Just log in to the official CMAT portal to get your admit card. 

Q.6. What are the CMAT Reservation Criteria?

Ans: The CMAT 2025 exam has a reservation system with 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBC-NCL. Additionally, 10% of seats are reserved for candidates from the General-EWS category, and 5% for PwD candidates.
