If you want unity in diversity then IFMR GSB is the place to be. India is a land of varied culture and heritage, but I had only tasted that first it when I came here. The very fact that I feel I pull myself up from bed is the natural serenity and beauty of this place. It will be very small praise if I call this place mesmerizing. You can only understand it if you have the chance to be here. Above all mingling with new friends from different states and linguistic background of all parts of India and sharing our thoughts was the best experience so far in the MBA journey at IFMR.
The brief introduction to some facilities, guidelines and program overview in the first few days made us realize why IFMR GSB is unique compared to other B-schools. We had the opportunity to interact with Sri Karumuttu T Kannan, Chairman of Thiagarajar Group of Companies, which mainly centered around "Character is the highest virtue of a person".The counselling session is crucial in everybody's journey and here it was conducted by Dr.Sandhya Rani Ramadass.
In the long race of life, we all need a booster, right? And 'YES', we got it from the session "You Can" by Mr. G.D Sharma. But we were all messed up and stressed after the long hours of class at the beginning of the course yet we felt very relaxed and calm at the end of the day for the Meditation session conducted by Prof. G. Balasubramanian. It would be a treasure for all of us in the roller coaster ride of MBA journey.
So, in the very beginning of the MBA journey, we got the taste of the roller coaster ride and at the same time, we realized that it's just the beginning and we all have miles to go. But no matter how challenging the first few days might be still it was a great feeling to start a new journey of our lives.
We hope in these two years we are here not just to be business leaders of the future but at the same time create long-lasting cherishing memories in the journey ahead of us.
