He Took More Than 100 Mocks Across MBA Exams. Prakrit Prakash Scored 99.49 in SNAP
Prakrit Prakash was working while preparing for MBA entrance exams. His preparation did not depend on long study days. It depended on returning to the same cycle repeatedly: practise, take a mock, analyse the mistakes and adjust the strategy.
He took more than 100 mocks across NMAT, SNAP and other MBA entrance exams. In SNAP, he scored 99.49 percentile and joined SIBM Pune.
Why Mock Analysis Mattered More Than the Number
Prakrit believes the value of a mock comes from the review that follows it. He examined whether each error came from a conceptual gap, poor time management or an avoidable inaccuracy.
The repeated analysis helped him improve speed, accuracy and exam stamina. By the time he reached the actual test, the pressure of a timed paper felt familiar.
How He Handled DILR
DILR was his biggest challenge. He understood the concepts, but initially spent too much time on difficult sets and struggled to identify the right approach quickly.
He practised different types of sets every day and focused on pattern recognition and set selection. Mock analysis showed him which sets matched his strengths and where he was losing time.
Gradually, he learnt to identify solvable sets, leave time-consuming ones and protect his overall attempt.
Preparing as a Working Professional
Prakrit followed a structured schedule, studying after work on weekdays and using weekends for longer sessions. He first strengthened his fundamentals in Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability before moving to sectionals and full-length mocks.
For SNAP, he focused on speed and quick decision-making. Short, high-intensity mocks helped him adapt to the pace of the test.
His Interview Preparation
Prakrit prepared common HR questions, his academic background, work experience, career goals and reasons for pursuing an MBA. He revised his engineering fundamentals, stayed updated with business and financial news and took mock interviews.
His advice is to know your profile, answer honestly and avoid trying to manufacture perfect responses. He converted SIBM Pune along with GLIM, NMIMS, SCMHRD, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Guwahati and XIMB.
