You only get to live your life once and within this time frame anything that makes the journey worth remembering has to be one that has made a mark in your life; that is what I call Big!
Post my graduation, when I started working to earn a living, I realized there were times in this hectic schedule that called for getting rid of those hunger pangs. Ordering some junk and indulging would have been the easiest thing, but my experience said doing this makes the going tough. A homemade veg roll wrapped in a Freshwrapp preserving its freshness, a Freshwrapp waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the juicy chicken ball and helping keep it at the right temperature were just the right things that kept me and my colleagues going. Thanks to ABG for helping preserve memories and freshness.
“Mumbai calling” was the phrase I used when I told my parents about the location of my first Job. I had a picture of the Bandra-Worli sea link given to me by a friend of mine and that was the only image that kept on coming to my mind whenever I used to say those words. When I landed in Mumbai, I asked my driver to take me via the sea link. I still remember the smile I had: It was nothing less than a dream come true. Thanks to ABG for making millions like me smile while taking the Bandra-Worli sea link.
Blazers- an important entity of the MBA journey. I had a very short time to get one for me. Nothing was working out: sometimes it was the size, sometimes it was the fabric feel, sometimes it was the texture. That point of time It was only a savior that could get me out. Keigo Higashino was right in telling “Sometimes, all you had to do was exist in order to be someone’s savior”. A black Van Heusen existed and that was the last piece. The size, the fabric and the texture were all perfect and this made my day!
Thank you, ABG for being a Savior.
Challenges-Gifts in Disguise
A challenging situation or condition, as per me, is a mental obstacle one has created after analyzing the problem at hand. The best way I try to keep such obstacles at bay is by understanding that it is just another situation I am put into; having a calm and composed thought process to go about things actually serves the purpose.
Life does throw each one of us into a pool of difficulties and I am no exception. There were difficulties in achieving what I wanted, there were stages where giving up was the sole thing that used to come to mind again and again. Having a belief that I could make it has made a lot of difference. I understood it is not always what I wanted but it’s also about when I wanted. If I can break my goals into parts and go about successfully completing them one after the other, the challenge does not seem so daunting and this is precisely what I have been following.
It’s a definite thing that there is bound to be a certain level of ambiguity or uncertainness in the route to achieving your ambitions, but holding onto your principles and directing yourself to act upon it sensibly makes a lot difference and I believe to make this difference one need not be brilliant or perfect; You just have to care.
Frank A. Clark was right in saying “If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere”. In fact, it is after facing such obstacles and not avoiding them that I could actually retrospect and say that treading the road less taken has made all the difference.
