Challenges faced in life
“Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory” said by George S Patton makes me realize the importance of challenges in life. We all face challenges in life and how we manage to overcome them builds us what we are. There are various phases in life when you have to take decisions that will determine your future and I believe it’s the most challenging part of life.
As a student, this journey of challenging decisions begins from the decision of choosing the right subject stream in 10th standard to decide what career to take up when one reaches his initial twenties. For me too, the journey till now has been full of surprises and challenges as you never know what life has to bring to you next. I also like various other students of our country, fell in the dilemma of choosing my subject stream. In the midst of a lot of confusion and anxiety, I finally decided to take up science stream. The mindset was not clear but I followed my instincts. Studying various concepts of Physics, Chemistry I realized these were something I had interest and took decision of pursuing Engineering.
During Engineering, when everyone was aiming to get a job, I focussed on polishing my skills. At that point of time, the biggest challenge was to remain focus and clear about your goals. My aim was to attain most of practical knowledge and to apply the concepts that we have learnt. But as it is said to be number one, you have to be odd. I got scholarship in college for among the top three students in computer science branch. But things are not easy always, maintaining a balance between studies and various activities and to still holding on that position among toppers was a real challenge. I believe it was my dedication, hard work, and managerial skills that helped me to remain consistent. Another challenge during graduation was when we also got the opportunity to work in teams, working in teams is not so easy, everyone is not good at everything and as a team leader you must be capable enough to access these abilities and I believe at that point right communication worked for me. I had heard that communication is the key of success but in my practical life, I experienced it working on team projects.
All of these experiences directed me that I can be a future leader and I started off with my journey of MBA. I believe one of greatest learning from my journey till now, is to achieve something in life, one should have clarity in his thoughts, what actually the person wants from his life, then only he can be successful in any endeavour of life.
