Started in 1857 in a small village in Rajasthan, Aditya Birla Group has been successful in creating an entire ecosystem of products that do not require a person to step out of it for any requirements.
Starting with UltraTech Cement, what makes the Aditya Birla Group stand out for me is their primary focus on sustainability. Even though it is largest cement manufacturer, it’s major priority still remains in finding more effective and responsible ways to help protect the environment. UltraTech Cement has touched the lives of more than 1.5 million people in the local communities around its factories across India.
Being a loyal user of Idea(now Vodafone Idea), what made me choose this network operator was its superior voice and broadband connectivity covering almost 90% of India’s population. Little did I know that along with this, 20% of Vodafone Idea’s telecom towers are operated by hybrid power, thereby reducing the Carbon Dioxide emissions. These sustainability initiatives make the bond between the organisation and the consumer even stronger.
Vodafone Idea and UltraTech Cement are just a few examples of the vast landscape that The Aditya Birla Group covers. The group also has a presence in non-ferrous metals, textiles, chemicals, agri-business, carbon black, mining, wind power, insulators, financial services, retail and trading solutions. The group has successfully covered almost all aspects of my life, right from me using their internet services to check my emails, to wearing Louis Philippe and Allen Solly’s formals, to packing my food using their aluminium foils and finally working and staying in buildings which have been built using the UltraTech Cement.
Aditya Birla Group’s strong dedication to serving the environment while simultaneously focusing on it’s own organisation’s growth and it’s holistic presence in every aspect of our life is what makes it really BIG IN MY LIFE – in terms of the learning and parallels any individual, group or organisation can draw and replicate from the group.
