A mother chooses the best for her children. My mother certainly chose the best. Hidalco Industries Limited is the world’s largest aluminium rolling company and has a well-rounded approach to sustainability in areas like environmental disposal of industrial waste, energy consumption, safety practices and so on.
Aditya Birla Retail Ltd. provides customers a wide range of products under its various labels like Pantaloons, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, etc. Every brand serves a different customer and a different need. It was my first interview in my entire lifetime and I was asked to wear formals. The first thing I did was went into a Van Heusen store and bought a business suit, the first in my life. That was the first and since then there is no looking back. Pantaloons has always been my go to location for ethnic as well as casual needs. Having India’s largest fashion network with over 11000 point of sales, ABG has never disappointed me.
Right from cars to computers, plumbing to agriculture and banknotes to shoes, carbon black is indeed making our lives better. The group is now the largest manufacturer of carbon black worldwide. Birla Carbon is designed to improve tread wear and rolling resistance making our car safer at every turn.
Recently I read a tweet by Mr. Birla and could relate to it a lot thinking about my ambitions and the challenges I faced to overcome it.

Coming from a patriarchal society, it is not easy for any girl to fulfil their ambitions as easily as their brothers do. However now every girl has learnt to fight and break their glass roof. I also became a fighter in the journey of my success. Coming from a small city, I moved into Delhi to pursue my graduation from Delhi university. It was tough to make your family understand your ambitions and to let you move towards it. Also, then coming to a big city and evolve according to the speed of that city is difficult. After seeing my struggle in the same I decided to help other girls like me to achieve what I did and how I did. For that I joined an NGO, where I started teaching mathematics and science to young girls living in shelter homes to move forward in their studies. These girls did not even have a dream at first. Their mothers earned money working as house help and they did not see their life above this. However, we used to organize visits to different areas of the work culture like theatre, corporate offices, schools and laboratories to improve their sense of dreaming so that they could make a goal for themselves in life. Some of them were now studying in the same college I did and having dreams higher then I had at that point of time. I feel happy looking back at them and feel proud of myself for my contribution in their life.
Aditya Birla Group really is “Big in our lives” for the above said reasons, the various unsaid reasons and a large number of unknown reasons.
