From the Freshwraps that my mother used to wrap my chapatis in. From those Van Heusen shirts that my dad used to look handsome in. From every grain of that Ultra Tech cement that built the beautiful home I spent my childhood in. To the Vodafone Idea network that I use now to publish this article. The morals and values that ABG stands for, have formed a great part of my memories and aspirations. It is not only the products that make ABG big in my life. But how it unfailingly and unflinchingly delivers every time with quality and precision. What makes ABG big for me; is that the brand has a soul associated with it. One that has a taste, and the vision to do it. The uniqueness of the brand has always been the larger than life picture of it. We all come across several brands every day. Of different kinds. Holding different purposes. But it is difficult to find one that can cater to such diverse audience with such diverse aspirations. For everytime that my parents send me a parcel now in my B-School; it invariable travels through the conveyer belt which probably holds the Birla Carbon in it. For everytime I buy my fruits from More; ABG stands as the enabler of it. For everytime I quickly dress up in my formals for a corporate session, ABG is the fibre that I can trust. ABG is the idea that breaks the status quo. The idea that breaks the mirage; and turns it into a goal. My goal.
One of those goals once was a premier engineering institute. One that I failed to achieve. One that made my self-confidence wither; and had me doubt every bit of values that I stood for. But then bit by bit; I learnt the value of perseverance. The medicine was bitter; but was quite needed for someone like me. It taught me how far more important it is to be consistent; than to be competent. ABG; a brand formed 12 years before Mahatma Gandhi was born; still stands relevant for the youth today,160 years later. This feat couldn’t have been accomplished without the kind of faith that the brand shows in its values. And the kind of consistency in performance it has shown throughout the years. To be hungry always for something bigger; and to help everyone who can use your hand every once in a while. This constant hunger and moral wisdom, stands as the only way one can move forward in his life while maintaining the principles he holds dear to him. Today, after all the lessons I have learnt and applied; I sit here in a premier B-School penning my thoughts down and thanking everyone who came my way. ABG holds an even higher regard for me when I learn the number of times it has fallen and picked itself back up. In a world like today, to stay relevant is the toughest of tasks. And ABG has proven its mettle in this; far beyond than any of us can imagine.
