It all started about 18 months ago. I was awarded 'The Spotlight Award' for my stellar performance in Q4, a very crucial period for my organisation. The award sounded very prestigious but all I could think of was "How much of my brain has turned into mush for this trophy". My story is not a story where everything is positive. In fact, it has been called one of the darkest by most of my friends.

A.) Aditya Birla Group and its massive role/presence in my life?
ABG group have impacted millions of lives globally, especially in our country, India and continue to do so everyday. Owing to the brilliant quality of their services, they enjoy a position of leadership in every major sector they operate. It is highly unlikely that any of us has not used any product to which Aditya Birla Group has contributed to ,in some way or the other. Well, they certainly have played a huge role in my life. There is a certain level of trust that is associated with their services on account of the reputation they have built for themselves throughout the years.
Passion , Innovation , Emotional engagement and Intensity are some of the characteristics coupled with Ethics and loyalty that I personally resonate and connote with.
I have grown up with brands like Pantaloons, Forever 21, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly which would give a sense of familiarity and connection with Aditya Birla Group. I associate my experience with my first job, where Allen Solly graced my wardrobe and my day. It gave me immense confidence being dressed right for my big day. Hence I connect with the brand Working for a big brand is not a destination one aspires for, but a milestone one has to reach. A good working environment always has a number of milestones in store for an employee to chase and consequently grow. Aditya Birla Group has been exemplary in standing up to this vision. Being associated with ABFRL, India’s largest retail company would a golden opportunity. The dynamism that the brand stands for must therefore be inculcated and in the process, it would add great value to the learning experience.
Aditya Birla Group has been pioneer in Industrialization of India. It is working in 14 sectors and with US 44 Billion dollar revenues, it is significantly contributing the economy. Shiv Narayan Birla founded the Birla group in 1857 with trading of commodities while Ghanshyam Das Birla set up critical industries in early 20th century. International operations started with Grasim Industries in 1947. Visionary leaders like Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla put India on global map way before liberalization. With currently, 50% revenue coming from overseas operations, group provides valuable foreign currency. It is also market leader in many other sectors. Brands like Pantaloons, Hindalco, Vodafone Idea, Grasim chemicals, Linen Club and Ultratech cement have been very close to us. During building of our house in my native, India’s number 1 trusted cement brand Ultratech was the obvious choice. Home building tips from Ultratech website were very useful to crosscheck quality of the work. Projects like Statue of Unity, Mumbai Metro and Bandra-Worli sea link show its commitment to making our life easier and to aspire us. With its commitment and work to reduce carbon emissions as per Paris Agreement, Ultratech is the good example to be followed by other organization. We use Birla Balwan in our farms. We have used Hindalco Everlast roofing in new house. It is very attractive. Hindalco wins leadership awards for sustainability 4.0 in 2019. Pantaloons provides branded clothes at economical prices. Vodafone-Idea with its best network reach plays important role in connectivity in our native place. In emergencies and in moments of joy, this network has been very useful to connect with relatives, friends etc. Aditya Birla group companies are also actively involved in inspiring Social welfare activities. Caustic soda of Grasim chemicals is important parts of juices, bottled drinking water. Linenclub clothes are very attractive and hit among the people. I personally like Allen Solly formal clothing for their quality and comfort. Group appreciates contribution of its 120000 employees and appropriately takes care of them. As per the AON survey, group was again rewarded as best employer in india in 2018. This 3rd award in last 7 years is testimony of group philosophy. Also globally this Fortune 500 group ranks 4th and 1st in Asia-Pacific in “TOP COMPANIES FOR LEADERS” study 2011 by AON Hewitt, Fortune magazine and RBL. Aditya Birla Group has become role model for employee centricity in Indian Industry.
