An Ode to the Class of 2015 at IIM Lucknow
There is a pall of gloom, of silence for it’s the last day-the last day that the batch of 2015 is with us. The campus has been preparing for this impending farewell for some time now. We have been trying to do so much more, live so much more in every moment, and cherish the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds. The final week, which has been marked by farewell parties, treats, more parties, night-outs every night is coming to an end. The timer on the college network portal tells me it’s time to bid the batch of 2015 goodbye. It dedicates a beautiful melody to them.

Strategies to Keep Students Motivated and Focused
As most of us know, students have a little focus length as against adults and even though, the thought about a particular goal is instilled in their minds, it becomes important that they should be kept motivated to move them towards their goal. Generally, the best learning materials, books and lessons cannot help in holding the motivation aspect in kids and they won’t gain self-motivation to put forth their utmost efforts. So, both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation becomes important and teachers can play an important role in encouraging children. Even though, it is true that it is much easier to say than done, regardless of whether you are an experienced or a new teacher, a lot of efforts and time should be spent in understanding about each student in such a way that he/she can be motivated accordingly. Here are some simple strategies that will help teachers to keep their students motivated and focused:

IIM Rohtak successfully completes its Final Placements for PGP batch of 2013-15
IIM Rohtak successfully concluded its final placements for this year with 61 recruiters participating in the process for the PGP batch of 2013-15 comprising of 152 students. With its 4th PGP batch placements, IIM R was able to reinforce its relationship with its past recruiters and also formed relationships with several new recruiters. The average annual package of Top 50 students was 13.6 lakhs and that of Top 100 students was 11.74 lakhs. The average annual salary of the batch registered an 8.3% increase over the previous year, indicating the economic revival and recruiter confidence in IIM Rohtak students. There was also a considerable increase in the number of Pre-Placement Offers given by companies to IIM Rohtak students.
