Soon we were thrown from the high lands of induction into our workplaces and before I knew it, I could find the nearest coffee machine in Mahindra's Kandivali office with my eyes closed (ideal time for coffee too, if you know what I mean).
The GMC Internship would not have been a great learning experience if not for the friends that I made and the amazing co-workers I have at the workplace. Straight from the Senior Leaders to the team I am part of & the people I met at branch offices at remote locations, everyone is happy to help in whatever way possible. Not only work related, but met really cool colleagues who can lighten up your mood no matter the situation.
Sometimes one does not want the journey to end, despite the quest to reach the destination. This summer internship has been that kind of a journey for me. To give you guys some context, I had my final review of my project by the CHRO yesterday. Although I had expected to feel euphoric after I had delivered this, I suffered from a sense of dilemma; for once, I was glad that I had successfully accomplished such a challenging project, while on the other hand, I did not enjoy the fact that the internship was about to come to an end. Anyway, what is of essence in this version of My Mahindra Diary is how I spent my week 5 and 6 and how I reached the last leg of this journey.

The GMC internship experience with Mahindra has been a great learning experience, a platform to network with some of the best minds in the country along with alumni and understand their way of working and approaching a problem. Here at Mahindra, other than my Guide and Buddy, the employees here also have been very supportive and friendly and are always willing to give any sort of constructive opinions and feedback about my work. Non-work-related discussions make the place very wholesome.
I stood at the corner of the conference room where all the HR team had gathered to bid farewell to a departing colleague. The seniors, as well as the juniors in team, were vocal about their attachment and love for the person which he reciprocated with a smile and a couple of words which displayed his sheer love for the organization and the people who have built it. The HR Team at MRV Chennai is more like a family, where they work hard together and help one another when required. They made me feel at home and treated me as one among them by helping me out from the innumerable queries that I had kept posting and also by inviting me to all the team get-togethers that were planned. It felt really nice and warm coming to the office every day because of this beautiful team.
