The Unfulfilled Desire #IIM Trichy

The Unfulfilled Desire #IIM Trichy

Ever since my childhood, I was extremely fond of clothes. Being born and brought up in a tier II city like Lucknow and belonging to a middle class family, our one point solution for any apparel requirement was the very famous “Pantaloons” store. It still makes me feel nostalgic whenever I visit the store. It has almost become an emotion to me in the past years as it is the major reason behind the birth of the Fashionista in me.

Challenges- a make or a break!!!#IIM Tiruchirappalli

During the last year of engineering, I was one of the organizers of an event called BRIZINGER which was a 3-day state level technical festival organized by Government Engineering College- Rajkot in the year 2017. Firstly, I started with the data and found that there are fewer participants from the first year and also the footfall was too stagnant. So the key challenge was to increase the participants from the first year as well as to increase the footfall. After analyzing the data, I tried to find out the reason for this trend and found that our events were more on the technical side. So for resolving the challenge, I suggested to include non-technical events as well some managerial events as well. The rationale behind including the managerial events was that we had already captured all the engineering colleges in the region so I tried to tap the uncharted territories. Also, as for most of the educational institutes which are concerned with various competitive exams as well as skill development, I knew that this event will give the platform to advertise their products so we strategically decided to pitch differently to the sponsors by not asking for what do we want rather describing how they will benefit from the same. These all efforts increased footfall as well as sponsorship amount. The leanings which I got from this experience that, we have to look at the minute details of the tasks as well as we should identify the core competencies of every person in the team and distribute the task to optimize the time as well as resources.

A CA Aspirant Exploring Purpose And Challenges! - TAPMI, Darshil Sanghavi

Challenges are something we were protected from most part of our school days. Having passed the 10th with an exceptional grades came the time to take your own decisions. CA the graveyard and the toughest course was the 1st challenge. While hardwork and commitment can take you places!! It helped me clear 1st two levels in 1st attempt. However then came 3 years of articleship which pushes you to your limits which was actually good for me. It made me realized that my true place was not as a tax consultant or a audit guy working in a big four or any industry. I rediscovered my interests for finance while working on a big finance client. Still came the final Ca exam and doing something when your interests lies someplace else is a challenge. To add to it I was diagnosed with health issues 4 months before the exam. Exam pressure worsen by health and ill health didn't help me to prepare either.
