Live it Strong, Connect Better.

Live it Strong, Connect Better.

Cash and smash, we all had a run for it almost three years back. Strong we stood and accepted the new ways of handling our daily lives. Most of us never had much to do with online payments and new concepts were coming up to reach every person in India. It was when Aditya Birla Group came up with its own payments bank, Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank, adding a gem to its prolific brands. ABG and its brands are known for how they care their customers and always never fail to brighten up our lives with innovation. A company becomes a part of people’s lives when it follows up with the economy and connects to nitty gritties of its stakeholders and ABG has been the most active of all. Financial Inclusion is one of the important parts of public policy and its amalgamation with newest technology is what can grip the nation together. ABPB is just the word that has in its policy about financial inclusion and mobile banking technology as stated by Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla sir. I wish to see everyone be updated with latest technology and enjoy the services without any hindrances. With the penetration of internet across every village and corners of the cities of India and easy ownership of mobile handsets has enabled everyone of us to use various financial services and products and ABPB has left no stone unturned to make it possible. With demands ever rising and aspiration of every Indian I feel proud to be under the umbrella of Aditya Birla Group that has touched our lives so deeply.

How Aditya Birla Group products touched different spheres of my life? | Shilpayan Dey, IIFT

13th July 2002, Natwest series finale between India & England- On the very same day my dad had a big event lined up at office-his first meeting as a Chief Drafting Supervisor, HAL Sunabeda with the executives of other division. I, a 9-year-old child, was in awe with his positive aura shining out after suiting up in Peter England’s shirt & trouser. I always looked up to my Dad & desired to suit up in Peter England one day. The anti-wrinkle & aquatech comfortable shirt matched with perfectly fit trouser augmented my Dad’s strong personality which resulted in a highly successful meeting. A sense of professionalism is always tagged with the Peter England brand.

My tryst with the Aditya Birla Group.

My tryst with the Aditya Birla Group.

Just like a lot of other girls, my interest in fashion began at a very young age, when I was first gifted with a Barbie doll. Again, like a lot of other girls, my interest only increased as I grew up and soon took over my wardrobe. With both my parents being government employees and a little sister who shared my interest in fashion, it was often difficult for my parents to satiate our increasing demands when it came to clothing. Soon, they were at a loss on where to shop so that the cost of clothes did not exceed their budget. It was around this time that we, upon the recommendations of one of my mother’s friends, discovered the wonder that is Pantaloons. With affordable and fashionable clothing, it was here that we bought most of our clothes throughout our adolescent and teenage years. Apart from Pantaloons, Peter England was my father’s favorite shop to shop in and the brand ‘Freshwrapp’ has always been integral to all my memories of family outings and/or family road-trips wherein my mother would pack the food we were going to carry in Freshwrapp aluminum foil. In recent times, however, my association with the Aditya Birla Group has been more special than any other because it was through their Van Heusen women brand that I acquired my first formal blazer in order to begin my foray into the MBA life here at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. The Aditya Birla Group had its humble beginnings during the mid-1960s when, Aditya Vikram Birla joined his father B.K.Birla in their family business which then consisted of Grasim, Hindalco, and Indian Rayon. By the end of the decade, Aditya Birla, then 24 years old, was placed in charge of these companies, which formed the basis of the Aditya Birla Group. Being a visionary, Aditya Birla, led the company’s development from an India-focused industrial group to India's first and largest internationally operating conglomerate. Birla launched its first subsidiary the Indo Thai Synthetics in 1969, to produce and export synthetic yarns in Thailand. Birla's success in Thailand encouraged the group to extend its operations elsewhere in the region and thus began their journey of being an internationally operating conglomerate. Currently, they have their presence in over 30 countries.
