“Change is the only constant.” We all are familiar with this quote. Adapting to changing environments is an essential skill and it is something which I have experienced in my life since childhood. It all happened as my father was transferred after every few years to various cities across Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, I spent my childhood and schooling across multiple tier-2 cities in Uttar Pradesh. It came with its own challenges. Every city had a different culture, different people and for me, different schools with different students. Also, we usually had to shift around July when the school sessions had already started for some time, making adjusting all the more difficult.

I have always been called a very clear minded and level-headed person by people around me. This is because I have generally had a very clear idea of what I was going to do next, be it what my next school was going to be, what I was going to study after school, which college I want to target and what I want to do after that- which was MBA. Now that I am here, uncertainty has started to creep in slowly and gradually. I came to MDI with a very clear direction about what I wanted out of these next two years and where I wanted to be two years, ten years and twenty years down the line. This is not to say I was hundred percent sure that I will be doing that only, but I had a general sense of direction. However, I am no longer sure about which committees I want to join, which stream I want to specialize in or what I want to do in these next two years.

There were other big premium events that were already being organized in the campus. And so, I had the option of either repeating the same events or coming up with a brand-new event. The transition from school to college is filled with a myriad of new experiences, and these experiences are often posed as challenges one might in an open and relatively more independent environment of the college. One of the greatest aspects of college life is the presence of student run societies and clubs that provide a wide range of exposure and learning opportunities. Like any other active student, I also spared no effort in deeply engaging and participating with one such group. I directed my attention into the Entrepreneurship Cell of my college and by the second year of my academic journey, I scored a position as the Marketing and Content Head. It is during this tenure that I faced a challenge that required me to think rationally and act promptly.
