Challenges are like small potholes on a road. There may be ups and down but we shouldn’t stop ourselves from achieving our goals and desires. Those challenges teach us how to work patiently, sincerely and without losing hope. At first, it may feel like a long journey but when we start to surpass one milestone after the other, it gives us a true taste of victory.
In my 25 years of so-called well-balanced lifespan, there were certain challenging situations. But I considered them as testing phases of my life and once you pass that examination you are enriched with experiences, knowledge, and skills. One such incident happened to me when I was sent to Bokaro Steel Plant, during my previous employment for the supervision of the retrofitting process of a Reheating Furnace. I just completed my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and I didn’t have any prior experience of how to work in that kind of environment where your client is putting continuous pressure on you to complete certain work as scheduled. But I was feeling helpless because it was a totally new experience for me. I even thought of leaving the job, but after discussing with me seniors and fellow employees, I learned how to tackle such situations. There was pressure from the contractors who were working under us and at the same the time there was a shortage of materials as well. But somehow, in the end, the project was completed successfully and our client could start their production as promised by us.
So, I can connect these challenging situations with the values of Aditya Birla Group i.e. Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed.
