Our stories define us. Stories that have more downs, than ups. More challenges, than achievements. Life in fact, is just a series of challenges thrown at us with full force and our subsequent attempts at overcoming them. Successful or not, these attempts transverse into lessons that stay with us for the rest of our lives.
My story starts with a meek little girl entering school, who grew up to become a complete introvert. I found it hard to strike a conversation, I still do at times, but I have come a very long way! From school to college, things went from being good to great. I was a part of every other event happening in and around people, conversing with several new individuals on a diurnal basis. I was a changed person by the end of college. Little I knew that life was going to change with me entering the corporate world.
It all started with me realising that I had probably pressured myself into taking a role that I in fact did not relish. I have myself a complete year to settle in, only to realise that it was time to settle into something else. I started preparing for MBA entrance exams alongside my job and this might seem like a trivial challenge but wait for it, it gets worse. The exam season clashed with my organisation’s busy season when we were required to be in office for 11 hours. Not sure what made me think like I could accommodate more on my plate, but I got into a 6-month long certification course which started at the exact same point in time. Juggling all these thigs at once and being able to sail through all of them was indeed a very challenging task.
I truly appreciate all the challenges that I have faced and overcome. Although I did feel exceedingly overwhelmed in these situations, I would not have it any other way.
